With over 24 years senior management experience in the Testing, Certification & Inspection Industry, I have set up an Advisory Consultancy to support and help organisations in the UK navigate through the complex and rapidly changing regulatory landscape. My experience covers a wide range of EU directives, covering both the Notified Body and Testing requirements, including the Radio Equipment Directive (2014/90/EU), EMC Directive (2014/30/EU), Marine Directive (2014/90/EU), Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) etc. In addition, the EU, I have been supporting companies through the transition requirements for the UKCA mark regulations, both for the requirements for bring a product to market in the UK, but also the additional requirements for UK companies selling products into Europe. With a special focus on Smart Devices, I have been active in a number of areas, including the Smart Metering Device Association, The IoT Security Foundation, the roll out of the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021.
