About CGI Epoxy Floors
CGI began in 2006 by Shane Coohey. Shane, from Dyersville, IA, came to the Iowa City area in 1996 and began framing residential homes and later began general contracting then started Coohey Construction in 2001. A customer in 2006 expressed the desire to have epoxy flooring in his garage and Shane began training in epoxy installation and saw a need for epoxy flooring in the area and decided to begin this venture in 2006. Since 2006, Shane, and his team, have completed hundreds of floor coating projects including flake epoxy floors, metallic epoxy, quartz epoxy floors, concrete overlay floors, stained floors, and commercial concrete coatings such as urethane cement floor sand industrial sealers.
