We are a family business deeply steeped in the belief tea is more than a beverage. As Tea Docents and owners of Chado-En LLC doing business as Cha no Aji The Taste of Tea and Shinwa Japanese green tea More than a beverage, we aspire to become a medium through which tea is commemorated, understood as more than a beverage and enjoyed in its multifaceted art forms. We believe all things are connected and partner with farmers and producers who share our values and are guided by a deep respect for the planet. Our intent is to share the life of Chado and for the spirit of Chado to enrich the world! The seemingly simple act of serving and receiving tea with gratitude is the basis for a way of life called Chado or literally translated, The Way of Tea. The Spirit of Chado is Wa Kei Sei Jaku or Harmony, Respect, Purity and Tranquility We do not supply big box chains and therefore enjoy the luxury of offering tea much like wine and never forced to blend to a 'standard never changing taste". We source directly from several tea regions often boutique gardens and processors allowing for the very best each and every changing year! Chado-En donates 10% or more of net profits to “The Wellness Gardens” a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of cancer and other degenerative diseases through awareness and lifestyle choices!
