About the Champions of Courage Awards The Champions of Courage Awards were independently founded and are run by Wendy-Ann Smith, Coaching Psychologist, as part of the Sable Praxis ecosystem. They honour integrity and celebrate courage in coaching, mentoring, leadership, and professional practice. Each award celebrates a story — a real account of action taken with courage and ethical intent when the stakes were high, the path unclear, or the pressures intense. Presented annually at the Coaching Ethics Forum conference, the awards spotlight three distinct forms of ethical contribution: • Ethical Change Maker – driving meaningful change through ethical innovation. • Ethical Impact – creating lasting positive outcomes through courageous, ethical action. • Ethical Courage – standing firm for what is right in the face of challenge or risk. Aligned with the mission of the Coaching Ethics Forum but independently founded and run by Wendy-Ann Smith, the Champions of Courage Awards provide a platform that inspires, recognises, and celebrates those whose stories of courage and ethics deserve to be told.
