About Championship Productions
Championship Books was founded in 1976 by Bill Bergan, the two-time NCAA Championship-winning head Track & Field and Cross Country coach at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa (retired in '95). The company was a true "basement enterprise" and Bergan's wife Karen, long-time employee and family friend Margie, and Bergan's four children all pitched in to get out orders on time and help the company grow from a "basement business" into a true corporation. We have grown every year since! Today, Championship Productions is headquartered in an entrepreneurial business park in Ames, Iowa and houses a staff of over 30 people in its 12,000 square foot office facilities. As Championship Productions sits almost perfectly situated in the center of North America, every order that is shipped is received in a timely fashion. We are fortunate to work with an extremely dedicated staff of compassionate and knowledgeable people. We have over 100 years of coaching and marketing expertise in our offices to help us know what to recommend and how to best "put the word out" about our latest new releases. Our customer service staff has over 50 years of experience with us, and our video production staff has unprecedented longevity in the instructional video business. Since 1976, Championship Productions has produced thousands and thousands of instructional videos and mailed books and videos to coaches, athletes, and parents all over the World! The company has evolved over the years, from a two or three sport company selling primarily books, to an internationally-recognized leader in producing the highest quality instructional videos in over 20 sports and providing the top customer service of any company, in any industry, anywhere!
