About Chance to Shine
Chance to Shine is an independent, registered charity (number 1123385) on a mission to inspire young people in the UK through the game of cricket. Since 2005 our Chance to Shine Schools programme has introduced cricket to children in thousands of state schools, and grown a love for the sport, while teaching vital life skills. Our Chance to Shine Street clubs offer free weekly cricket to young people where traditional clubs might be inaccessible. Working in close partnership with boards and foundations across the cricket network, we’ve reached over 7 million young people with our programmes, and currently work in 1 in 4 state primary schools in the UK. Our scale is unmatched in the sector. Our goal is to transform the lives of young people and help them to fulfil their potential. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket.
