About Changing Directions

Changing Directions, Inc. is a multi-faceted 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides services to underprivileged youth in the community ages 10-18. Changing Directions, Inc. has created and currently supports a project which meets the human and educational issues in our community. The project ius called: It's All About You. Changing Directions, Inc. assists in the efforts of individuals and groups who wish to take an active role in managing their lives, life styles, and controlling their own destiny. They are taught life skills and shown how to set short and long term goals. We help these individuals to create plans and pathways for necessary job skills which they must have to achieve success (i.e. basic computer training, résumé writing, job interview techniques, dressing for success) and some work toward their GED while others are attending school to receive a high school diploma. A strong emphasis is placed on leadership development and community service. The youth work at transforming their own lives and roles in society. We believe that the more successful and valuable we make our youth to meet the challenges of today, the more they will optimize our community with their productivity tomorrow. We have workshops, classes, activities, and educational/recreational field trips.
