About Charity for Charity - Non Profit of the Year
Charity for Charity is a non-profit organization raising funds to fulfill the wishes of local residents with life threatening illness or traumatic injury. What makes C for C unique is not only the fact that it is collaborated by a network of friends and volunteers, but that they focus on individuals by helping, changing and inspiring their lives. Each year, Charity for Charity selects an adult, young adult and child as its beneficiaries, and grants their wish in the beginning of each year at the “Stars of the Valley Awards Party and Benefit!” “THE BIG ONE”… is a Golden Globes styled event where wishes are granted to selected beneficiaries in person. Additionally, a community awards program honors individuals in the community in such categories such as Brightest Star of the Valley, Got your back and Silent Saint. Each of the 7 categories is developed through a system where people are nominated by their peers in the local community.Originally developed the first year to get people in the seats, the idea caught on and has become a fun benchmark of the gala evening. Throughout the year Charity for Charity holds other smaller fundraising events and drives that help raise money for the support of its beneficiaries. Charity for Charity selects its annual wish beneficiaries by application each year. The only requirement is that the beneficiary must live in the Temecula Valley. Charity for Charity continues to grow each year and the ultimate goal is to be able to give back to many in the community throughout the year. Charity for Charity also gives scholarships to budding philanthropists in Temecula and Murrieta Unified School Districts. Each year, $2000 in scholarships are given to students who have a heart for their community. These students are picked based on the QUALITY (not the quantity!) of community service that they have completed!
