Profile cutting with Laser, Waterjet and Flame Charles Day (est. 1977) is a specialist profiling and cutting operation with modern, well-equipped development, design and production facilities. CNC laser cutting machines offer our customers exceptional and industry proven profiling quality. By using the latest constantly updated technology we are able to maximise both throughput and yield, efficiently handling contract, jobbing and specialist steel cutting requirements. Waterjet cutting is the fastest growing profiling method world-wide. Heat and gaseous materials free, the process brings accurate and cost effective cutting options to our customers over a wide range of material, thickness and applications. Our 8m x 4m cutting bed, the largest sub contract cutting bed in the UK, with multi head cutting is ideal for either short or continuous profiling. Flame cutting offers traditional profiling with cutting capacity of up to 270mm. It is cost effective multi head cutting with accurate in-house programming. Quality control is maintained at each stage of the processes. Virtec Laser QC measuring systems ensure complete dimensional checks against drawings are made for each component with batch inspection of finished components monitored through the Virtec system. Laser QC can also reverse engineer components for which there are no drawings.
