About Charlotte Evans, LPC

Hi, I’m Charlotte Evans. My life experiences have made me the therapist I am today. My mother battled bipolar disorder, which meant that growing up, things felt chaotic, scary and unpredictable. Many things in my life felt uncertain; I didn’t know how the next moment would unfold, and I was deeply affected by the feelings and pressures I felt. I was lost, hopeless, I didn’t think I had the power to change my situation. When I was 10 years old, a social worker came into my life. Through her guidance and encouragement, I was able to see hope, change and passion for other people—and for myself. I knew at that moment that I wanted to help families in their own fight with mental illness. I wanted to empower adults to get help and children to know that, when they grew up, they would have the power to change their circumstances. With the right skills and support, anyone can bring positive change for themselves and their children. I’m not just an educated person telling you what to do—I’ve lived it. I know it can be done, and I can be your guide and source of support for your family's life challenges.
