DC Chartered Health Plan, Inc. is the oldest and largest Medicaid Managed Care Organization in the Nation's Capital. In 1987, Chartered pioneered the development of managed health care for DC Medicaid beneficiaries receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
