About Chartwood Heritage & Planning
Chartwood Heritage & Planning is a small, family run, practice where the director is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and a fully accredited member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC). We utilise our strength and depth of academic knowledge, research skills and practical experience to provide the very best proposals for all concerned, believing that good development proposals come from properly understanding heritage significance and setting. Taking this approach has allowed us to assist owners of various heritage assets in developing, maintaining or bringing heritage buildings back into use whilst retaining and celebrating their special historic values. Although predominantly covering the South West, we have successfully undertaken a number of heritage based schemes countrywide. These have included projects at the Grade I Caerhays Castle Estate in Cornwall, the renovation of a Grade II* farm complex in the Lake District, refurbishment projects at the Royal Colonnade in Bristol (Grade II*) and the former Victoria School (Grade II) in Fulham, London, as well as a project to bring back into use the almost derelict Grade II island retreat, Eyot House, on the Thames at Weybridge. Chartwood Heritage & Planning can provide expert and specialist heritage and conservation services to promote and manage change to heritage assets including: Listed Building Consent Applications Heritage research, advice and management strategies Specialist assessments of heritage significance and setting Heritage statements, advocacy, heritage impact assessments, condition surveys, site appraisals and statements of significance Preparation and submission of planning applications and listed building consents Development advice related to conservation areas and listed buildings Advertisement Consent Telephone: 07811 508 927 Email: office@chartwoodplanning.com
