Established over 60 years ago, Chasestead has evolved into a company which specialises in prototype engineering and low volume production sheet metal work. Our modern factory spans more than 42,000 square feet and is fully equipped with the latest laser cutting, robotic welding and CNC machining equipment. We pride ourselves on the quality systems we employ having achieved BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100 Rev C accreditations. Operating across multiple sectors, we have many years of experience in the automotive, construction, aerospace and defence, power generation and general fabrication. High levels of security are maintained at all times and we have a secure build area available for extra confidentiality when required. Within the automotive sector we have unmatched experience in the manufacture of prototype and pre-production under-structure components and assemblies at industry best lead times. Chasestead has manufactured parts for most major vehicle manufacturers including Land Rover, Ford, VW, GM, BMW, Jaguar, Volvo, Mazda, Nissan, Honda, Bentley and Rolls Royce. We can take your project from initial receipt of your CAD to first off components in less than 10 weeks. This can include making press tools, assembly jigs and fixtures, component manufacture, welded assemblies, bush and ball joint assembly and final inspection all under one roof. Using our engineering skills and machinery we are able to make the most intricate facades and rain screens for the construction industry. We work with your designers using the latest CAD software to model your designs so that you can visualise them fully before we put them into manufacture. We have experience of working with most materials and creation of different finishes, with the expertise to take on projects such as cladding and perforated screens, balustrades and handrails, balconies, canopies, secondary roof steelwork and architectural sheet metalwork.
