About Chattanooga Food Center

Our mission is to increase access to locally grown food, provide nutrition education, and inspire engagement in regional agriculture. We envision a vibrant, well nourished Chattanooga. In 2020, the organization launched its first major project, Gaining Ground Grocery, a low waste farm store located in the historic Highland Park neighborhood. The organization continues to address its mission by partnering with other organizations and the community that seek to improve our local food system and allow the Chattanooga area to realize its vast potential as a transformational food city for all its citizens.
