We are a school that is at the heart of our community and is committed to providing all of our students with an exciting and challenging education where achievement and enjoyment are at the heart of everything we do. We are a successful and fast improving school where our main focus is on ensuring that all students achieve their potential, whether they are aiming for university, college or employment. We want our students to become successful independent learners; we want them to become leaders within their own communities; and we want them to value difference in their communities and work successfully with others. Our successes are recognised nationally through a variety of awards we have received, including being identified by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust as one of the most improved schools in the country in 2009. We know that our students’ progress while they are with us is outstanding. We work constantly with our community – our families, our local Primary schools and our local community groups and businesses – to achieve our aims. You can see that Chaucer School is at the heart of a growing district centre which includes a library and adult learning centre, a new supermarket and a sports centre development which is unique in the region to support our students and their aspirations.
