About Chaverut

Coming from a public school in Manhattan, I didn’t have much exposure to communal Torah learning. That changed when I joined Torah Tech, where I experienced both small- and large-group learning. These experiences deepened my relationship with Hashem, strengthened my friendships, and enriched my Jewish identity. I created Chaverut to make that kind of growth accessible to everyone — whether they come from a yeshiva background or not. For students finishing their time in Israel, Chaverut helps them maintain their learning. For those who haven’t had the opportunity to be here, it offers a digital version of the gap year experience — with learning partners and an engaging and customizable curriculum. Chaverut is an online Jewish learning platform that connects users into Chavrutas and provides structured learning content. The app is a combination of Tinder and Khan Academy. Like Tinder, Chaverut matches users together and, like Khan Academy, provides a curriculum interface with a variety of learning resources. - Benjamin Goodman, Founder
