Cornerstone Hydro Electric Concepts (CHEC) is an association of 16 small Local Electricity Distribution Companies (LDCs) operating in Ontario. In 2025, CHEC is celebrating 25 years of helping its member utilities achieve increasingly efficient and effective operations through sharing of services, information, and resources. Our members have an established relationship with their customers and a history of providing reliable, local electricity service. By pooling their resources within the CHEC group, the CHEC LDCs have achieved the best of both worlds: maximizing their services and efficiencies while maintaining their important role as responsible corporate citizens in their communities.
