About CHECK-IT

China-Holland Educational Competence and Knowledge Center on Information Technology, or CHECK-IT is a consortium consisting of five Institutes of Higher Education in the Netherlands and the Software School of Xiamen University. Together, we offer various combinations (depending on the size of the task) consisting of Dutch and Chinese students in IT and Media-Design. The Chinese and Dutch students work together on different kind of projects on the Check-IT office located on the Software Park of Xiamen. By working in teams, the students will extend their knowledge on IT and develop a collaboration between two different cultures. By offering this chance the Universities create the opportunity for the students to pursue an international career in IT or Media-Design. Therefore the language used in CHECK-IT will be English. The projects executed by Check-IT will be based on assignments from companies with interests in the Dutch IT or Chinese IT market. Check-IT is therefore the perfect solution because our students are highly trained in developing for both markets. CHECK-IT Partners The five Dutch partners are all in the top twenty of Dutch Universities of (applied) science: * Hogeschool Leiden (Leiden University of Applied Sciences) * De Haagse Hogeschool (The Hague University of Applied Sciences) * Hogeschool Zuyd (Zuyd University of Applied Sciences) * Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN University of Applied Sciences ) * Universiteit Leiden (Leiden University) The Software School of Xiamen University aims at developing international IT talents who have sound theoretical foundation, as well as practical competence and skills.
