About Chelsea Building Products
Chelsea Building Products designs and manufactures extruded PVC profiles for windows, doors, mouldings, Everlast siding, shutters, custom profiles and more. In 1975, Chelsea Building Products (CBP), formerly the Poly-Tex Company, opened its first window profile extrusion operation in a small warehouse East of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In that year, Chelsea Building Products introduced profiles for the first all-vinyl, double-hung tilt window system into the U.S. market - ushering in a new and exciting era of design, engineering and manufacturing for extruded polymer-based profiles used in windows, doors, cladding, shutters, mouldings, composite flooring and more. Today, our production and distribution facility, located in Oakmont PA, currently houses over 50 extrusion lines that run 24 hours a day, seven days a week; producing millions of feet of lineal extrusions per year. Chelsea has partnered with dozens of manufacturers to design and produce extruded profiles that have changed the landscape of the building products industry.
