Safety is the best policy! The Chemical Engineering Student Safety Team (ChESST) is a graduate student initiative in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at the University of Houston. ChESST was established in 2021, inspired by Exxon Mobil’s Partners in Academic Laboratory Safety (PALS) workshop. We foster a culture of safety throughout the graduate student body by hosting safety-related workshops, seminars, and training activities with the purpose of create a space for students to learn from and discuss safety-related topics.
