About Chemring Sensors and Electronic Systems
Chemring Sensors & Electronic Systems (CSES) is the leading supplier of vehicle-mounted ground penetrating radar (GPR) detection systems, chemical and biological detection systems, and counter-IED electronic countermeasures. Our experience developing advanced sensors and detection systems has enabled us to expand our capabilities to meet the demands of the military, government and worldwide companies. CSES is comprised of three divisions: Counter-IED division, 3D-Radar and Chemical-Biological division: CSES’ Counter-IED division is the world leader in the design, development and production of counter-IED ground penetrating radar (GPR) systems for detection of buried hazards. Its ultra-wideband GPR system has been deployed on more than 400 route clearance systems and its technology has been selected as a Program of Record (PoR) by the US Army and Marine Corps. The 3D-Radar division specializes in three-dimensional, step-frequency ground penetrating radar technology and multi-channel antenna design. Its commercial and military applications include: road, bridge, runway and railroad inspection/analysis, utility mapping, archaeology, tunnel & cache detection, and military landmine and improvised explosive device (IED) detection. CSES’ Chemical-Biological division is a leading manufacturer of sensors systems that detect and identify chemical, biological, explosive and narcotics threats. systems. It is the supplier for two major U.S. military vehicle-mounted detection systems: the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) and the Joint Service Lightweight Standoff Chemical Agent Detector (JSLSCAD). It is also the prime contractor for development and production of the Joint Biological Tactical Detection System (JBTDS). Its industry-leading experience developing advanced sensors and detection systems for the U.S. military has enabled CSES to meet the demands of homeland security, law enforcement and international customers.
