About Cheshire Homes South Africa

We are responsible for the efficient running of 16 Cheshire Homes throughout South Africa. We ensure correct governance, and a high, standardised standard of care throughout our 16 facilities. CHSA’s mission is to provide the conditions necessary for the physical, mental and social wellbeing of our residents. Our organisation is imbued with the values of inclusive education from an early age, support for independent living, respect for human rights, and quality of life. Cheshire Homes South Africa operates a bottom-up management structure; each organisation is largely autonomous, with its own board of management, staff, constitution and registrations. The CHSA National Council meet annually and elect a National Board of Management every two years; the CHSA national body is the umbrella body for all our centres.
