About Chess and English
Chess and English is an educational program for children that aims to teach “English as a Foreign Language” (EFL) through the content of chess. English has been described as “the language of opportunity” and we all know how challenging it can be to make young children learn it. For this reason we chose the content of chess because through playing chess the English class is fun and joyful for the children meanwhile learning the basics of chess children will improve concentration, logic, social and decision-making skills. Our educational program Chess and English combines all the benefits of EFL and chess education and thus can be an effective tool to make an English class more colourful and enjoyable where children are more motivated to participate. What do we offer in Chess and English? The program that aims children between 5-8 years old comprises a series of student books, workbooks and trainings that prepare English teachers to learn the methodolgy that acredits them to run a Chess and English course.
