About ChiBots - Chicago Area Robotics Group
ChiBots welcomes anyone in or near the Chicago area who is interested in robotics of any kind, such as line followers, maze solvers, BEAM, Mini Sumo or SRS Robo-Magellan, among others. ChiBots membership ranges from pre-teens to retirees and from novices to professionals. Monthly meetings cover topics such as motor control, navigation, and microcontroller pro-gramming and include technical question-and-answer sessions. Through meetings, presentations and events, Chibots promotes personal education and participation in the field of robotics. ChiBots holds three overall types of events: Regular meetings meet at 1:00 pm the second Sunday of each month. Robot Builder’s Day Out is a hands-on workshop where members can work on their projects either individually or together. The third type of event is a robot competition that pit our members’ robots against each other.
