About Chicago area Hadoop User Group (CHUG)

CHUG, founded in April 2010, is a nonprofit organization (ok its a free meetup group) created to help foster and promote the adoption of Hadoop (HBase, Hive, etc...) within the Chicago Area. Anyone who has interest in learning more about big data, and related technologies is invited to join. As of July 1st, 2014 there are 1800+ members from around Chicago and other locations, representing over 200 companies ranging from start-ups to Corporate 100. To better server our community, we post meeting slide decks on Slide Share as well as post video taped talks on Vimeo. (Sorry Google, no free advertising revenue from us! ;-) Anyone can join....
