Housed in a 100-year-old former auto body shop, the Chop Shop is a butcher, deli, bar, restaurant and state-of-the-art venue. Our event space is 6,000 square feet and hosts concerts, charity, corporate, culinary and art events. These three concepts bring together some of Chicago’s favorite things: encased meat, cocktails and live entertainment. Chop Shop offers an array of fresh sandwiches and salads to enjoy in-house or to go. Our menu sources seasonal fare from local farms and the in-house butcher. What truly sets Chop Shop apart is its accessibility to great cuts of meat at an affordable price. Seating for dinner is available in the oversized booths and bar on the first floor known as the "Butcher Bar" with bar bites and specials, or head upstairs to the "Butcher's Brother" for a more intimate dining experience. Adjacent to the dining room is a secret garden-style 60-seat patio. Enclosed by four walls and the blue Chicago sky above, it’s the perfect al fresco setting for drinks or dinner. The first floor features hi-boy window seating, exposed brick, and oversized dark tufted leather booths with Chop Shop branded wood tables. The 27-seat bar, equipped with a butcher block bar top and chevron wood backsplash, also has four flat-screen TVs, 18 beers on tap, and signature cocktails Custom swivel doors in the back of the Butcher Bar allow a peek into the event space. Designed by event professionals, for event professionals -- the space features 20 foot ceilings, exposed brick, and built-in amenities, modular staging, a guest suite, and a professional on-site production team. The Chop Shop event space accommodates corporate, social, and entertainment planners in the marketing, art, film, music, fashion, culinary, and philanthropic communities for both private and in-house programmed events.
