Chicago Minds is a proposed mental health focused co-working space dedicated to creating a supportive community for both providers and individuals seeking services. Clinical therapists starting their own private practices need affordable, flexible therapy spaces. They also need a strong support network and other tools to help build their businesses. Running a private practice can also be extremely isolating. For consumers, challenges with wait times and insurance deter people from seeking mental health care or delay much needed support. Chicago Minds is a unique solution to these challenges: 1. We offer uniquely designed therapy rooms to be rented out on an hourly basis. This provides therapists the flexibility that they need to receive new clients, anytime. With a monthly membership, therapists will also have access to community events, a peer support network and other professionals to help with their business questions/ operations. 2. We are introducing an innovative single-session walk-in therapy model, where anybody who walks in can be seen on a first-come first-serve basis. For therapists, this pay-out-of-pocket service also provides an opportunity to supplement their income. 3. We offer community. Through partnerships with local businesses and professionals, we will host events such as yoga, meditation, self-care workshops, that will build a mental health community like no other.
