About Chicago Psychotherapy

Chicago Psychotherapy, PLLC is a private therapy practice located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Founded by Dr. Caroline Adelman in 2014, Chicago Psychotherapy has grown into a multi-disciplinary team of Psychologists, Counselors, Social Workers, and clinical trainees, offering individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy and group therapy, in addition to assessment, parenting workshops, school-based services, and clinical training. We support clients of all ages, from all walks of life. We believe in seeing clients for their strengths, understanding individuals in context, and working collaboratively with clients and their families in meeting treatment goals. We use gold-standard, culturally-responsive practices to support our clients, with an emphasis on tailored applications of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems Therapy (FST), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). Our assessment services focus on helping clients to gain understanding of their unique profiles, strengths, and support needs, so that they can get the therapeutic, academic and/or workplace supports needed to thrive. As an organization, we are committed to closing the gap between the best available evidence-based practices and the mental health services being offered in our communities.
