About Chicago Union Cares
Chicago Union Cares is the charitable arm of the Chicago Union, our City's professional Ultimate Frisbee team. In partnership with the Union, CUC mobilizes the power of Ultimate Frisbee to help youth reach their full potential. Ultimate Frisbee is such a special sport. It is non-contact, requires minimal equipment, and can be played inside or outdoors. Fair play and mutual respect are foundational: there are no referees until the pro level because players resolve disputes on their own. The game is a blast to play and a blast to watch. Chicago Union Cares provides guest coaching for PE classes and pop-up clinics, and we work closely with community-based organizations to introduce the sport to youth. We also provide professional development support for PE faculty. Our free, online resource, "Teaching Ultimate Frisbee" has games, drills, and sample lesson plans from grades K-12. The Union plays in the Central Division of the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA). UFA consists of 24 teams and four divisions across North America. The Union won the Central Division Championship in 2021 and 2022, and have made the playoffs seven times. The Union's home field is at Northwestern University's Martin Stadium. watchufa.com/union.
