About Chiddingstone Castle
Chiddingstone Castle is a Grade II listed historic house set in 35 acres of Kentish countryside with far-reaching views, within easy reach of London. An accredited museum home to a fascinating collection of global art & antiquities. From Ancient Egypt, Japan, Jacobite and Buddhism, Chiddingstone Castle is home to four impressive collections which are the lifetime’s work of a gifted collector. The charming castle is popular for private events, corporate and public. Well established as an award-winning heritage wedding venue as well as a set location for film, TV, fashion shoots and music videos. Host to corporate away days and launch events as well as many a private celebration from the beginning of life and Christening receptions through to birthdays, anniversaries and wakes. The grounds are also the setting for various public events throughout the year including exhibitions, craft fairs, music concerts, live theatre, school holiday activities, artist workshops and special interest events. Chiddingstone Castle and the collections of Denys Eyre Bower are cared for by a charitable trust. All donations help towards the maintenance of the historic buildings, collections, grounds and the education and events programme. Denys left the Castle and collections to the nation so that future generations could enjoy and be inspired by them.
