We're a small outpatient mental health clinic for children in San Jose. We offer: Psychotherapy for children. Yes, it turns out that theory that children are "resilient" and will "get over it" all by themselves has been proved false over and over again by adults who carry the scars of childhood trauma for a lifetime. With therapy, children who have been traumatized by loss, divorce, illness or abuse or who have been challenged with "unique wiring" can be helped to understand, cope, and intimately thrive in their relationships and emotional life. Parent Coaching Parenting is a tough job, and it's made even tougher when one has a special child. I provide encouragement, support, and useful tips for caregivers for even the most challenging children. Parent Education We offer classes both at our offices and out in the community. Divorce Coaching For parents who are engaging in alternative dispute resolution process such as collaborative law or mediation, we offer coaching on how to communicate clearly, co-parent effectively, and manage your own emotions during this difficult time.
