About Children First Foundation

Children First Foundation (CFF) is an Australian charity established with the vision of “a world where every child has access to excellent medical care regardless of where they live.” We facilitate life-changing surgery in Australia for disadvantaged children from developing countries. These children are unable to access the medical care that they need, as the complex, and often multiple surgical procedures required, are not possible in their own countries. Pre and post-surgery the children are cared for at our Retreat in rural Victoria. We provide support for children with a range of congenital and acquired conditions, including orthopaedic, craniofacial, burns and plastics, renal and urology cases. The outcomes of our program range from saving a child’s life to increasing physical functionality, pain reduction, removal of barriers to education and work, increased independence and social acceptance. Our goal is that following surgery and rehabilitation, the children return to their homes and families healthier, happier and with renewed hope for their futures.
