About Children's Country Home

Children's Country Home is a home for medically fragile children… providing expert care with dignity & compassion. Our nursing care team is dedicated to caring for babies, children, teens and young adults through their 17th year. All of our nurses have extensive experience providing round the clock, state-of-the-art nursing care especially for young patients. Children's Country Home is a pediatric care facility that provides 24-hour transitional, respite, residential and end-of-life care to medically fragile and technology-dependent children from infancy through young adulthood. When a child has profound disabilities and complex medical needs, providing the necessary round-the-clock care can be exhausting and overwhelming. Since 1997, families have trusted Children's Country Home to provide the treatment and education essential to the child’s wellbeing. In tandem with the child’s primary care physician, our nursing care team assesses and treats complex medical conditions. They monitor symptoms, administer medications, provide critical care and coordinate therapies such as nutrition, physical, occupational and speech. Parents and loved ones receive information, training and support to understand their child’s complex medical needs throughout their stay as well as discharge planning for the return home. Most of our school-aged children attend classes within the Northshore Public School system. All children and their loved ones can participate in the home’s activities, including special outings to Woodland Park Zoo, The Children’s Museum or the movies, to name a few. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide a loving, enriching environment for every child and serve as an extension to the youngster’s family.
