About Children's Smile Center
Children’s Smile Center (CSC) is a nonprofit organization that provides dental care for children and pregnant women from low-income families covered by Missouri Medicaid from Christian, Stone, Taney, Lawrence, Barry, and Dade Counties through clinics in Ozark, Aurora, and Branson West. In addition to our clinics, CSC goes to outpatient surgery centers once or twice a week for patients with extreme decay and restorative needs. Our services include the full spectrum of dental care including cleanings, x-rays, fillings, sealants, extractions, root canals and crowns in a child-friendly atmosphere. We collaborate with many school districts and Head Start programs in our six-county area to provide school screenings once or twice a year for preschool and elementary students. This important service is not reimbursed by Medicaid. We ensure that each student receives a hygiene kit including a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss along with a brief oral exam by a registered dental hygienist. CSC usually completes about 10,000 screenings each school year.
