About ChinaFocus

ChinaFocus helps New Zealand businesses tackle, and succeed in, the word’s largest and fastest moving market – China. We deliver compelling brands for the China Market. ChinaFocus came into being as a response to a need. Through our work with exporters, we began to see a problem that we believed we could help solve. Many New Zealand companies are overly reliant on Chinese partners for their branding and strategic marketing advice. All too frequently, they run the risk of losing control of their brand – where it appears, what is said about it, and even what it looks like. ChinaFocus generates insights, defines brand strategies, designs brand experiences, and helps businesses to manage their brands and tell their stories. We provide New Zealand-based strategic brand advice for New Zealand companies competing in China. We can also user-test brands and products with target audiences. For companies currently exporting to China, we interpret and redefine the advice that these clients are receiving from the market, and we validate this advice against our own in-market research and market analysis. For companies looking to enter the China market, we will work alongside them to get their brand ‘China-ready’. ChinaFocus is an initiative from Ocean Design Group.
