About Chippewa Falls Main Street
The purpose of the Chippewa Falls Main Street Program is to improve the community's quality of life by strengthening the Downtown as the center of the community through Organization, Design, Promotion, and Economic Restructuring. Chippewa Falls was selected as a Wisconsin Main Street Community in 1989. The Wisconsin Main Street Program is a comprehensive revitalization program designed to promote the historic and economic redevelopment of traditional business districts. The Main Street Program has brought new businesses and jobs downtown, improved the downtown image through façade improvements and building rehabilitation projects, and brought the community together through promotional activities. The Wisconsin Main Street Program is based on the philosophy of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
