About Choose to Succeed

Choose to Succeed is a nonprofit organization working to attract the nation’s best public charter schools to San Antonio. Our mission is to ensure that every family has access to exceptional, tuition-free public education options. The Choose to Succeed movement was born in 2011 when local foundations and community members undertook to improve educational results in San Antonio by building out a high-performing charter sector. The goal is to serve upward of 150,000 of San Antonio public school students by 2030. To accomplish this, we are recruiting the nation’s top charter networks to San Antonio to join in a multi-network collaborative effort. Our current charter partners include BASIS Schools, Great Hearts Academies, IDEA Public Schools, KIPP San Antonio, Compass Rose Public Schools, Promesa Academy Charter School, School of Science and Technology, The Gathering Place, San Antonio Preparatory Community School, and Royal Public Schools.
