About us: Keeping the larger than life legacy of DJ Screw alive is no small task; a task The Chopstars meet with triumph year after year. Founded by OG Ron C in 2001 - The Chopstars started out remixing popular music in Houston's famous chopped and screwed style - or Chopped Not Slopped as they so accurately call it. Since their creation, The Chopstars have worked closely with artists like; Drake, Don Toliver, Little Dragon, Chamillionaire, and many more. Their music has been featured on The Office, Adult Swim, and Moonlight Film Director, Barry Jenkins, connected with the team for a Chop Not Slop version of the movie's soundtrack. More notable Chopstar appearances include a feature on The Boiler Room. OG Ron C and DJ Candlestick are featured in Mo Amer's Netflix special The Vagabond. OG Ron C and DJ Hollygrove co-produced and are featured in the "Lean Scene” episode of Black Market with Michael K. Williams. DJ Baby Chino on The Arsenio Hall Show and The Steve Harvey Show, as well as multiple appearances at Fader Fort and Marfa Myths. Through the years, The Chopstars have worked with up and coming DJs from around the world and now boast a team of over 20 DJs with an array of backgrounds making waves in every corner of the industry. Their own DJ Ryan Wolf is the official DJ of the Cleveland Browns and Mike G is an acting member of Odd Future. The Chopstars can be found in your city's hottest club, on television, radio, or a movie soundtrack all while continuing their original work with new Chopped Not Slopped projects releasing regularly.
