In 2019 a group of media and property professionals commissioned an extensive market research program to understand the mindset of residential property vendors in the UK. The findings revealed that many people could not understand why they had to pay to sell the very homes that they improved and carefully cared for over the years. This proved to be the catalyst for the radical new charging structure that Chosen Home Ltd created when they launched in September 2020 – vendors can sell their houses for free and the purchaser pays a fee to acquire the house of their dreams. Further, the business brought together all the best skills of a traditional estate agency, including service and local knowledge, but underpinned this with a deep understanding of modern social media strategies and online property portals (where 94.8% of people now search for their new home). There is no doubt that the UK estate agency market was well overdue an overhaul and we believe we have created a very compelling business proposition. We are keen to open dialogue with agency owners, complimentary media businesses and individuals who would be interested in discussing the opportunities that Chosen Home presents.
