We are a small home business established in 1980. Chris Haltom, the owner was asked this question often, "Why Wood, Why Floors ?" Chris says, "My dad was a woodworker for 40 years. Where I grew up, there was always a wood shop, saws and tools turning raw wood into finished products. My dad started taking me out on jobs when I was 10 years old." Realizing he had a knack for detailing floors and stairs, Chris gravitated towards fine finish. "Most floors are simple, straightforward, serviceable parts of the home, but you can customize a floor and make it into a work of art. That's my favorite thing to do. Everyone who works for me, both my crew and my estimators, have a great deal of confidence because of their experience, and because they really know our products. All our estimators have previously been installers and they know how the machines work. They are all certified floor mechanics, by the product manufacturers, the National Wood Flooring Association, most importantly by me. We employ an uncommon sanding process that makes floors the smoothest and flattest you can ever find with state-of-the-art floor machines. Dustless system process is great but our crew is Fantastic ! They always leave the work area cleaner than before they begin work. Custom Flooring : Part of our highest quality of work is our specialty in producing custom flooring. We get a lot of customers who desire products that cannot be found, so we just make them !"
