75 years ago, in her native Romania, Christine Valmy began creating natural skin care products with ingredients from her garden. In 1961, she moved to the U.S. and pioneered the country's esthetics profession, opening its first school in 1965. For decades, Ms. Valmy worked with her daughter, Marina, to fine-tune treatment techniques and product formulas based on a deep knowledge of how skin functions.
