About Christmas in July

It all started because a dedicated team of people from St Martins-in-the-Veld church in Rosebank, Johannesburg wanted to get more involved in social responsibility projects in our local community and there were no funds available to do so, so we needed to raise them. The question was asked “Why only celebrate the gift of Christmas giving in December? We should be celebrating it all year round”. So Christmas in July was first held in the church hall on Friday the 20th July 2001 and raised funds for the Rosebank Homeless Association. Every year since the miracle of Christmas giving twice a year continues.
