About Chrometics
Chrometics is a method for English Language Learners to practice and improve their English reading and speaking skills. It visually organizes vowel and consonant sounds with color. Chrometics can be said to be phonics with training wheels. Chrometics was originally taught in classrooms using only paper and pencil. Very quickly, students were introduced to the method through a specialized Chrometics computer program. Today, the newly developed Chrometics app will be available for any device. In the app, your own text is input to practice proper word pronunciation or to practice reading. The color provides emerging readers a way to decipher English spelling and develop rapid word recognition.
