About CHSSN
The Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN) was formed in 2000 to support English-speaking communities in the province of Quebec in their efforts to redress health status inequalities and promote community vitality. The CHSSN now has more than 60 member organizations and is involved in over 40 projects and partnerships in the areas of primary health care, community development and population health. How we work __________________________ We link communities with the public health and social services system in partnerships and through a series of projects that build and strengthen local, regional, and province-wide networks. Our Mission statement __________________________ To support the English-speaking communities in Quebec through promoting equitable access to health and social services in English and addressing social determinants of health by relationship building, knowledge sharing, empowering, and training. Our vision statement __________________________ Achieving equitable access to health and social services in English through the development of programs and partnerships to address social determinants of health and promoting the vitality of English-speaking communities of Quebec. Our goal __________________________ To understand health determinants and influence public policy, working with the public system to adapt services that meet the needs of English-speaking communities.
