Founded in 1913, Ciancio(1913) Co Ltd. celebrates 100 years of successful business, and is a local household name due to its long history of providing excellent high standards of both photographic and electronic goods on the island of Malta. In 1958, the company became the sole supplier on the island for Fujifilm. The offices of Ciancio(1913) Co Ltd, are centrally located in St Venera, and includes a digital laboratory, an after sales repair centre, stores and a showroom housed in a 1700 metres square building. In 2001 it expanded into digital and electronic goods and by 2010, it had a market share of 42% of all digital cameras in Malta. Diversifying from the photography market and moving into a broad range of electronic goods, it also sells cameras and accessories, a range of headphones, storage media, tablet and photographic prints, and also other products via its website and also showroom. In 2005, its photography laboratory become fully digital based and it expanded its business into the renewable energy market, establishing a sister company CD Power Solutions Ltd. Keen to develop into a wholly varied company, it also began to sell bulbs, batteries and other energy saving devices. Ciancio(1913) Co Ltd, now looks to the future with confidence, and intends to grow its business through a strong sense of participation, team work and determination in its human resources and also through the enhancement of its relationships with its suppliers, business associates and customers.
