About CIRCA Research
Who are we? The Culturally Inclusive Research Centre (CIRCA) (formerly the Cultural & Indigenous Research Centre) is a leading agency in research with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia. We specialise in applying culturally sensitive approaches to market research, policy, and evaluations. CIRCA’s team is made up of passionate people with extensive experience in social research. In addition, we work with a national network of research consultants from a wide variety of backgrounds and with a broad range of expertise. Together, we speak more than 20 community languages! This network is constantly growing, reflecting the reality of our multicultural society, and allows us to adapt to the needs of each particular project. What we do? Our research methodology is rigorous, culturally sensitive and centres on fruitful community consultation. We ensure a diversity of community voices are heard and are committed to culturally specific research methods based on mutual respect and cooperation. Our range of services includes: • Process, formative and outcome evaluations using qualitative and quantitative methods • Social and developmental research • Concept testing and campaign research and evaluation • Organisational reviews • Monitoring and evaluation frameworks, program logic models and theory of change • Online surveys and discussion forums with stakeholders and community Our expertise: CIRCA has over 20 years of experience supporting government, business, and the NGO sector in the delivery of social research and evaluation projects, so that they may better understand, connect with, and serve culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.
