About CitiWide Training Center

CitiWide is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. Since its inception in 1993, CitiWide has provided services to over 10,500 low-income families in the District. CitiWide provides training in Computer Technology, Health and Safety, ESL, GED, and After School/Summer programs. Additionally, CitiWide has a special education program for children with educational disabilities whose goal is to improve the quality of life experiences for children with special needs so that they can achieve their highest potential, become life-long learners. Technology is integrated into all our programs and across the curriculum in order to meet the ever increasing need for workers with appropriate skills for our technology-dependent workplace. Graduates from our program are empowered to continue their education or go to work in a variety of challenging IT, health, or academic fields. CitiWide's vision is to train tomorrow’s workforce today. CitiWide staff are experienced and qualified individuals who have worked in the community for years, who enjoy working with the low-income community. They are dedicated, trustworthy individuals who want to make a difference in people’s lives. Organizations are encouraged to sponsor employees or clients in any of our programs whether in group or as individuals. Whenever funding is available, individuals who qualify as low-income may participate in the IT Training, GED and ESL for free subject to the availability of funds.
