About Citizens' Climate Lobby Australia
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change. In order to generate the political will necessary for passage of legislated climate solutions we train and support volunteers to engage with Members of Parliament, the media and the public. Our lobbying approach is to create positive relationships with politicians & their staff. We show them respect, appreciation and try to find shared values. We are for & not against things. We listen to what they say & ask for what we want. Our team roles makes it very easy for first timers. Citizens Climate Lobby Australia started in 2014, is growing steadily and aims to establish local groups in every Federal electorate. We are active in Perth, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, and have people in 130 of the 150 House of Representatives electorates. We are part of the global organization, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, which has a strong presence in the US and Canada as well as chapters in 28 more countries.
