This beautiful vintage 1948 Chevy Farm truck turned drink & dessert truck is one of a kind! Whether you want a cup of freshly roasted coffee, a refreshingly fruity acai bowl, an icy popsicle from Steel City Pops, or a glass of amazing tea - we've got your back! The truck is also open for rent or catering your next event. We serve drinks, desserts, treats and more! THE TRUCK Originally manufactured in Detroit, the truck lived as a loadmaster truck, hauling farm equipment and heavy items. After decades, it was converted into a food truck by a Michigan based church to serve the homeless. Later it was sold and hauled to Round Top, TX (home of Antique week and some of America's best reclaimed & antique items). Shortly after, the truck ended up tucked away inside an antique shop in La Grange, TX. And finally in 2020, the truck made its way to Houston. It was worked on by the best across various industries. These talented and passionate people, along with our current partners, have made the truck what it is today! KYLE BUTHOD CITIZENSTRUCK OWNER Hey y’all! Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, I graduated from Oklahoma State with a major in International Business and a double minor in Chinese Language and International Studies. I completed a capstone study-abroad experience in Shanghai and then moved to Houston! I have had a diverse career since arriving in 2012 from oil, to coffee, to media, ministry, and now to full time ministry and entrepreneurship! I worked in the Phillips66 marketing division for four years and left to open a coffee bar called Cafeza with friends. I transitioned out to become the media coordinator for Every Village, an African NGO doing the incredible work of drilling clean water wells in South Sudan. After a few years, I became the Houston ambassador for Seed Company, a global ministry doing bible translation. I love Jesus, my family, my dog Bentley (@ridingwithbentley), my friends, and my church community.
