We are a city organization that provides city services and support to Martinez’s residents and businesses. City services include public safety, street and park maintenance, recreation, and community development. We think this is an awesome place to live, but not just because of our growing Downtown with a variety of restaurants, shops and breweries, or because of our beautiful open spaces and recreation opportunities, or even because of our gorgeous weather throughout the year. Our history is one that cannot be underestimated. Martinez was established in 1847 and became the home of the County seat in 1850.
